Amy is an Arizona native. She received a
Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. She attended a 1 year dietetic internship through the Yavapai County Health Department and surrounding medical facilities in Prescott, AZ. She is a fully accredited Registered Dietitian, and a member of the American Dietetic Association. She has been practicing dietetics since 1999.

Amy has previously worked in public health, promoting proper nutrition to pregnant women, infants and children. She has also worked as a clinical dietitian in kidney disease, diabetes and hypertension.

Amy resides in northwest Peoria, where she enjoys running, cooking and spending time with her husband and daughter.
